Yahoo Inc., the owner of the most visited site in the world, has been accused by the family of one of China's most prominent dissidents that by handing over data to the communist government the Internet giant is encouraging human rights violation.

The suit was filed at the U.S. District Court for Northern California by Yu Ling, the wife of Wang Xiaoning, and with the help of World Organization for Human Rights USA. The WOHR added that the trial is needed to make foreign companies that have subsidiaries in China's thriving economy to better understand their responsibilities concerning human rights and their violation by the communist government.
